Sok Tub

Known as the "champagne bath," the Sok Tub is what the now increasingly acknowledged 'infinity pool' was always meant to be: a quintessentially luxurious experience. Sok Tub from the Kohler family, emerges out of the deepest investment in dreaming up the perfect bathing experience, limber thinking and the craftsmanship that makes their combined actualization possible.

Adjustable, customizable fiber–optic lighting is integral to the basin, allowing a soft light to softly project into the room, tinting the walls with the bather’s desired mood. The Sok Tub's new technologies transform bath bubbles, giving them the effervescent quality of champagne, so that they cling to and caress the skin as if one were bathing in Veuve Clicquot. Waterproof, touch–sensitive buttons make the lights and bubbles easy to control. From the point of view of the reclining bather, the water's surface extends out to the horizon, which elevates the event of a hot bath to the absolute pinnacle of luxury.

No small signpost has been wasted to lure the bather into the lavishness of the experience. The look of Sok Tub is solid, indestructible, but the core of its elegance lies in the fact that its fortress–like sturdiness still lets one breathe, inspiring one to relax into their own breath. As opposed to most standardized fixtures, which are engineered to aerate water, here fixtures are designed to extract from it as much air as possible; the result is a stream of water whose flow is smooth and luscious, sheeting onto a surface rather than deflecting from it and splattering. This allows for the installation of a recessed ceiling bath fill spout, quietly ornate when not dispensing water, but suddenly visible as the water pours down, like a crystal rod descending or a beam of light growing out of the ceiling and pooling into the bath.

The Sok suite is comprehensive in design down to the detail: along with Sok Tub, a collection of fixtures is presented to keep the story consistent lest some fixture spoil the experience in question, by overwhelming the balance in its spot–on harmony.
